About ETS

“And He Himself gave some to be ….. teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,” Ephesians 4:11-12

StateSide: We believe God created each student with unique gifts and challenges. Christian home school parents know their student best as they seek God for direction. Our desire is not to take over the education of the student. Rather, we wish to offer choices so parents can choose to continue true home school while allowing us to equip them with challenging home school subjects. Our class structure and environment provides a seamless transition between home school and college.

International: Education is a vital tool overseas as we support missionaries with their first priority - their own children. Our goal is to keep fruitful missionaries on the field by providing support needed for their children.

Meet our teachers:

MARGIE HOLLINGSWORTH is a home school mom of seven very different children; some with special learning needs and accommodations, some graduated college, some pursued careers without a college degree, and some are still working through high school. Margie has degrees in science education: bachelor’s emphasis biology, master’s emphasis chemistry. She loves to teach with as much hands-on experience as possible. Recently God has called her to use school breaks to bring education to international missionaries as support.

VALORIE PAHLMAN is a home school mom of three beautiful ladies who each now have successful careers. Valorie has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in English education. She has a lively gift of bringing literature to life.

ROBERT SUTTON is a church elder and has a masters in education. He has retired from teaching AP history and serving on the AP board as an exam reader. Mr. Sutton is a wonderful storyteller, and has a gift for leading our students through critical thinking and writing on history topics.

SYDNEY COOK was homeschooled 12 years, and has studied the fine arts for several years, featuring a mural inside Glory Bound along with many other commissioned art works. She has a gift of communicating new skills while encouraging teens to bring their own gifts and perspective to their work.
