  • Paul Durfiled, Guest Speaker

    Paul and Julie have homeschooled their four boys for 16 years. Paul is a deacon at First Presbyterian Church, a Wildlife Biologist, and the director of Forerunner homeschool sports.

  • Focus Groups

    You can choose from a variety of sessions designed to equip beginners as well as veterans with wisdom and encouragement from experienced homeschool parents. For more detail, see below.

  • Activity and Resource Exhibits and Used Book Sale

    Explore the vast resources and activities available to homeschoolers in the Hub City area. Shop our used book sale. You can find a book-seller option in your conference registration.

  • Graduate Panel

    We will host a Q&A session with a panel of homeschool graduates who are well into their adult years. Questions will be collected from you on Friday, and on Saturday we will ask the graduates.

Focus Group Topics:

  • A Day in the Life of Homeschool

    Teresa Hutson will describe a few different typical days and inspire you with new ideas to incorporate into your homeschool life.

  • High School/ Prep for College

    Monica Hyatt will help you organize records, identify credits required, guide you with writing a transcript, and offer her experience with college admissions and scholarships.

  • Learning Differences

    Margie Hollingsworth will offer tools and suggestions on how to teach students with mild disabilities, or who learn differently, and guide you through accommodations and curricula.

  • Prepare Hearts to Finish Well

    Mary Ann Easterling will offer her wisdom and experience to help you visualize long term purpose in homeschooling, and to take the steps needed to finish well.

  • Teaching While Handling Littles

    Melonie Cade and her daughter Sharon Welch will offer valuable experience as they share ideas and strategies you can use to train young children while homeschooling older ones.

  • Single or Working Moms

    Angela Emmons will give encouragement and strategies for single and/or working moms as you purpose to keep homeschooling as a priority.

  • Building Lasting Relationships with your Kids

    Darren and Erica Lawless will share ideas to encourage and motivate you to build purposeful relationships with your children and teens that will last into adulthood.

  • The Role of Homeschool Dads

    Jere Daniels wants to encourage homeschool dads and help you contribute purposefully to your family’s homeschool lifestyle.

  • Graduate Panel

    Submit questions to homeschool graduates who have become successful in adult life. Some graduates include Tommy Teepell, Andrew Rogers, Alyssa Rasberry, Sydney Boone, and Laura Daniels
